Elena holds a Master’s degree in Music from Taganrog Pedagogical University in Russia and a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Teaching and Music Theory from Belgorod State Music College. She spent many years teaching in Russian music schools, offering both piano lessons and music theory instruction, and worked as an accompanist for children’s choirs and vocalists.
Since moving to Michigan in 2008, Elena has continued her career as a private piano teacher and church pianist, working with students of all ages and skill levels — from first-time learners to more advanced students preparing for public performances. She is excited to now offer piano lessons in Charlotte, helping both new students and adult students build their confidence and discover the joy of playing music.
Her teaching philosophy combines classical foundations with modern flexibility. She draws from a wide variety of musical styles including classical, jazz, and contemporary, and adapts her approach based on each student’s individual learning style. Whether a student’s goal is to play piano recreationally or prepare for music competitions and recitals, Elena provides thoughtful, private lessons that inspire progress, creativity, and musical self-expression.
