From the first time he picked up an instrument at age 14, Enrico Olos knew that music would shape his life. Today, as a respected instructor offering guitar lessons in Charlotte, drum lessons, and bass guitar instruction, Enrico brings over a decade of real-world performance experience and heartfelt teaching to every session at Performance Academy of Music.
His formal musical journey began in Ukraine, where he studied brass and percussion instruments at a local music school. Eager to grow his understanding of modern worship and contemporary styles, he later enrolled at the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary, majoring in Music Ministry. Although his academic path was interrupted by war, Enrico continued developing his skills independently—spending thousands of hours learning string and percussion instruments, setting the foundation for his lifelong career in music education.
Enrico’s passion for live performance led him to play in church bands, serve as a music director, and perform extensively with the Ukrainian wedding band “VERTICAL” from 2015 to 2022. His international experience spans Poland, Canada, and now the Charlotte area, where he performs regularly in churches and musical ensembles. He has even played drums at the Transcarpathian Regional Drama and Comedy Theater, contributing to a diverse repertoire of classical and folk music.
In 2019, Enrico began offering private music lessons, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after guitar teachers and drum instructors in his hometown. Known for his energetic, student-centered approach, Enrico taught up to 40 private lessons per week, working with children, teens, and adult students alike. Whether it’s their first lesson or a continuation of prior training, Enrico’s students benefit from his ability to personalize instruction to suit their skill level, age, and goals.
At Performance Academy of Music, Enrico now teaches music lessons in Charlotte and Matthews, NC, including guitar lessons, drum lessons, and bass guitar instruction. His approach blends technical training, creativity, and performance opportunities—helping students build confidence and prepare to perform live, whether at recitals, church services, or community events.
