Ilia Zhilkin is a versatile musician, composer, and arranger, born and raised in Siberia, Russia. His passion for music began at an early age, mastering both piano and drums as his primary instruments.
Ilia’s formal musical journey started in 2004 when he enrolled in music school, where he studied piano and honed his skills in solo and ensemble performance. While pursuing studies at the Economic Institute, Ilia joined a Christian music group, marking a pivotal moment in his musical career.
For over a decade, Ilia has played piano and drums during church services, eventually becoming the lead drummer for his music band. His career has included performing in musicals, productions, and tours across major cities in Russia and the USA.
Currently, Ilia serves as the lead drummer for the music team at LWC Church in Charlotte. He also composes and records his own songs. Ilia is passionate about sharing his expertise in solo performance and band dynamics, inspiring his students to explore their creativity and self expression.
